Jazz Appreciation at Liphook U3A

Liphook U3A Jazz Appreciation Group:

The group meets for two hours, usually on the third Wednesday of the month at the Village Room of the Millennium Centre in Liphook. Our first meeting was held in April, and we are settling into a routine of presentations of jazz on CD, covering a wide range of styles. The presentations are given by members and reflect their particular interests and enthusiasms. In addition we keep tabs on the local live music scene, and arrange joint visits, using shared transport, to pubs and clubs to hear live jazz. Our Wednesday programme for the coming months is planned as:-

·     20^th August – The Guitar in Blues & Jazz by Hugh Poyser

·     17^th September -  Jazz from Scandinavia, Linn & Naim by Roger Saunders

·     15^th October – Railway Rhythms Part 2 by Bryan Hersey

·     19^th November – Mainly Mainstream by John Patrick
